Greetings,
Winter paid us a visit last week, and as the snow accumulates in the mountains, excitement is building for our 90th season. Teams have been hard at work preparing for winter, with a lot of work going on behind-the-scenes that we are excited for you to experience firsthand, from trail maintenance and summer grooming to investments in the arrival and base area experience.
Throughout the off-season, our trail crew focused on summer grooming, vegetation management, and improvements to backside and gladed terrain to enhance the ski and ride experience and support earlier openings (when we have the snow). Building on nearly 40 acres of glade work in summer 2025, our teams completed work on another 70 acres this summer. We also invested in a new mower to use across our most popular groomers. Summer trail work makes a big impact when it comes to best positioning the resort to open terrain early in the season.
Honoring our commitment to reinvest the proceeds from parking reservations, net revenue from the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons funded two new double-stall vault toilets between Lots 1 & 2, adding four new stalls for the season, in addition to grading the road to Lot 3, Lot G, Lot C, and the entrance to Yodelin. You’ll also notice some fresh paint and new carpet around the base area, along with a nice upgrade to the Cascadian Kitchen scramble.
Every week more staff arrive at the Pass for pre-season training and to prep the resort for opening. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the mountain – and to share more of what’s to come this winter.
Happy November,
Ellen
