Moon rising over Skyline chair on a blue bird day.

Hi all,

I want to thank you for your continued support of Stevens Pass – your feedback has been invaluable and I’ve enjoyed sharing what we’re up to since I arrived. It’s hard to believe it’s only been a little over a week!

A few new updates today, and I encourage you to check out yesterday’s post that outlines our lift opening priorities, as well.

  • Its repetitive, but I want to keep reporting on our hiring efforts. We continue to hire team members across the board, including lift operators. If you know of anyone looking to join  us through the rest of the season, please ask them to apply (here’s the link).
  • When we have breaks in the weather like this, it’s a good time for training. This week, our Ski Patrol team is doing all kinds of trainings and mock scenarios. You may see some of this out on the mountain.
  • Last, but definitely not least, we’re still on track to open the backside on Friday!

I really appreciate connecting with folks out on the mountain and in the base area. Feel free to stop me and say hi if you see me out and about. I have also met up with several team members and locals from the past since I arrived, and I cherish that time together, and the stories that we’ve shared. I makes me realize even more how special this place is and how SPKA.

More to come soon…

-Tom
