Ops Update: March 20, 2026

Hello,

It’s been a wild couple of weeks here at Stevens Pass. We stacked up close to 90 inches of new snow, bringing much needed coverage but also leading to active avalanche conditions across the Cascades. Then the rain showed up, dropping nearly 6 inches of water since Monday. These conditions kept our steep terrain closed for most of the past week — safety remains non‑negotiable for both our teams and our guests.

Through all of it, we stayed open, and the hardy PNW faithful kept showing up with smiles, grit, and rain jackets. Seriously impressive! The good news: colder, drier air moves in tonight, which should kick off a solid melt‑freeze cycle and set us up for some excellent corn snow in the coming days. Our teams will be assessing Mill Valley, Tye Mill, and 7th Heaven for potential additional terrain. As always, our operational decisions start and end with safety.

All signs point to a great weekend to recreate — Select Pass restrictions are over for the season, we have our final weekend of night ops planned through Sunday, and we have some great events ahead, so get after it, and we’ll see you up here. ⛷️
