Ops Update: Feb. 18, 2026

Hi everyone,

I want to share a quick update on the Tye Mill chairlift. It’s currently out of service due to a mechanical issue, but our lift maintenance team jumped on it right away. The components that need attention are already with our specialized off‑site technicians for repair. While we don’t have a firm return‑to‑service time just yet, we’re expecting this to be a matter of days—not weeks. We know Tye Mill is a favorite access point for so many great laps, and our team is working with urgency and care to get it spinning again as soon as possible. In the meantime, there’s still plenty of great skiing and riding to be had across the mountain, and we appreciate your patience while we get Tye Mill back up and ready for more turns.

Looking ahead, Mill Valley terrain will remain closed due to lack of adequate snow coverage. We’re keeping a very close eye on next week’s weather, and if the forecasted snowfall materializes, we’re optimistic that we may be able to reopen the Backside once conditions allow. If you’re interested in earning your turns on Tye Mill or in Mill Valley, call the uphill hotline for updated access and restrictions AND check the blinking light on the clock tower when you arrive.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through this. Our team is committed to keeping you informed and getting more terrain open as soon as possible.

Thank you,
John Meriwether
Director of Mountain Operations, Stevens Pass
