Hi Everyone,
Parking remains a key priority at Stevens Pass and we have learned a lot this year, including how carpooling helps our overall parking capacity and the arrival experience for our guests. Based on these learnings, we are introducing a reservation system next season for certain lots during weekends and peak periods that will include a combination of free and paid options, with a focus on carpooling incentives. This will help reduce the uncertainty of securing a parking space during our busiest days.
During non-peak weekdays, 100% of our lots will remain free and first-come first-served. On weekends and peak periods, 67% of our total parking capacity will remain free and first-come first-served in Lots C, D, 1, 2, 3, and 4, and Yodelin & Nordic when needed.
The reservations-based parking program will account for 33% of our total parking capacity and will be implemented on weekends and peak periods in Lots G, A, B & E. Reservations for vehicles with 4+ occupants and vehicles with a single adult and two children ages 12 and under will be free. Guests who do not meet the 4+ carpool requirement will have the option to make a reservation for $20. ADA parking in Lots A & G and the first four electric vehicles to park at the EV chargers in Lot G will also remain free and will not require a reservation. All reserved spots, whether carpool or paid, will be held until 10am, with resort discretion to hold spots longer due to road conditions and other operational variables. Proceeds from paid parking reservations will be reinvested into the arrival experience at Stevens Pass.
Please know that this change is not made lightly. This plan allows our guests to choose their own arrival experience, whether it’s securing a spot in advance with a reservation or utilizing one of our free first-come, first-served lots. We will remain committed to hearing your feedback along the way, just as we have over the last two seasons, and to adapting where it makes sense.
Sincerely,
Ellen
