STEVENS PASS UPDATE (2/9/24)

Hello everyone,

When I wrote my blog last week we were waiting to see if temperatures would drop, and luckily they did cool off like forecasted. The colder temps greatly benefitted the snowpack, and our Mountain Operations team worked together to expand terrain. As of Monday, we are back to full operations on the frontside and backside.

Heading into this weekend, we’re expecting temperatures to remain steady at right around the freezing level with a few snow flurries. We’re forecasted to accumulate several inches of snow Sunday into Monday, and we’ll welcome any snow Mother Nature is willing to provide.

Our grooming team has done a phenomenal job of maintaining the slopes and with variable conditions remaining off-piste, we recommend sticking to the groomers. With the light coverage of new snow, please watch for patrol markings and be extra cautious of rocks and snow debris.

We’re also looking forward to welcoming back Jim Jack’s Cowboy Up Freeride Challenge thanks to the Stevens Pass Alpine Club. The competition began today and will take place through the weekend, where young skiers and riders will have the chance to showcase their skills on Rock Garden and Little Trees. It’s always great seeing the community come together to support these young regional athletes, and we hope to see you there.

Thanks,

Vince
