STEVENS PASS UPDATE (2/1/24)

Hello everyone,

We’re continuing to navigate through this warm weather pattern, and thankfully there are cooler temps in the forecast. I want to update you on our approach to opening more terrain as we see conditions shift so that everyone knows what to expect as we head into the weekend.

Cold temperatures will benefit our snowpack. Our Mountain Operations team, including Patrol, Grooming, Lift Operations, and Lift Maintenance, will be working as one team to expand our terrain as conditions allow. Conditions off of Tye Mill have improved and our plan is to start opening the terrain accessible from Tye Mill on Friday. 7th Heaven will be evaluated tomorrow, followed by the Backside terrain accessible from Jupiter with a status update to follow.

The safety of our team remains the deciding factor in all decisions and we will continue to take a very deliberate approach at every phase of reassessing and reopening terrain. If at any point we feel that there may be questions about the stability of snow conditions, we will pause until it is safe to move further.

Be sure to give our team members a high five when you’re here. It’s been a grueling few weeks, and our employees are dedicated to making sure everyone has a positive and safe experience at Stevens Pass.

Be sure to check the “Lift and Terrain Status” page on our website for the most updated information about which lifts and trails are open.

Thank you,

Vince
