Hi everyone,
It’s snowing at the Pass and we are expecting a significant weather event throughout this afternoon and into tomorrow. Today may bring 10+ inches of snow followed by freezing rain, rain, and then possibly more snow. This weather system is complex and unpredictable, meaning conditions may change rapidly, and we won’t fully realize the impacts until they unfold.
Given this forecast, there is a possibility that we’ll see a delayed opening with some of our lifts tomorrow morning. Our team is coming in early to carry out snow safety efforts and simultaneously get our lifts going after the freezing rain. Terrain availability may be limited at the start of the day, and areas like Tye Mill and 7th Heaven are the most likely to be closed as conditions stabilize. Our whole team appreciates your patience and understanding as we prioritize safety for everyone who wants to enjoy the mountain.
Looking ahead, tomorrow is also the start of night operations for the season. While the morning may bring challenging conditions, the forecast is expected to improve throughout the day, giving us confidence about kicking off night operations –and it could be some really good skiing and riding tomorrow evening.
For real-time updates, be sure to check the My Epic app, where our dispatch team will provide the latest information. Significant changes will also be shared on our social stories. As always, please consult the WSDOT website for current road conditions and restrictions before heading up the Pass.
Travel safe,
Ellen
