STEVENS PASS UPDATE (1/13/24)

Hey everyone,

We will always have to adapt to conditions at the Pass, and I have always said “Mother Nature gets a vote,” which was the case this morning. Temperatures were colder than forecasted when we arrived this morning, so we decided to operate a limited footprint for the safety of our employees and guests and to make sure our machinery was running optimally. Keeping employees and guests closer to the base area shortens the time needed to get someone to a warm space, which becomes a priority in these temperatures. Limiting our footprint also allowed us to add additional lift operators at each lift, giving our lift operators and scanning team more frequent breaks to warm up.

We anticipate operating with a similar footprint tomorrow and expanding throughout the day as temperatures allow. It’s not expected to be as cold on Monday, so we aim to operate our normal footprint. Please check our Instagram and Facebook stories for updates through the holiday weekend.

For everyone who bundled up and joined us today, we are having fun! The snow is great, the lines are short, and we have a lot of space in our lodges to warm up between laps. It’s been great seeing so many of you!

Thanks for your understanding. It’s been a challenging week, but we’re glad winter is here.

See you soon,

Vince
