Greetings all –
It snowed, and then it rained, and now it’s snowing again. We could not be more eager to get the mountain open for skiing and riding this year – and we’re patiently watching what Mother Nature has in store for us over the next week. As we head into the holiday weekend, I want to take this opportunity to thank our staff for all their preparations to ensure we are good to go for the upcoming season. Our lifts, groomers and restaurants are ready for operation– all thanks to our incredible maintenance and culinary teams. Our staff have been back at the resort completing pre-season training in rentals, retail, guest services, ski and ride school, mountain and base area operations – eager for the season to start. Our forecasters are tracking every system in the Pacific, and we’ll keep you posted as winter progresses in the Cascades.
If you decide to visit and earn your turns ahead of opening, please ensure you call the uphill hotline and check the blinky light – 206.812.7847. If you have access through your Epic Pass to Whistler Blackcomb, our neighbors to the north are expecting to open more terrain throughout the coming weekend. To say it again, we’re ready and we’ll keep you posted on conditions and progress at the mountain between now and opening day. Whatever you believe in and whatever superstitions you find meaningful send all the snowy vibes you’ve got – we’ll take every flake!
Happy Thanksgiving and more to come,
Ellen
