Hello Everyone,
It’s been a great week up here at Stevens Pass. With the snow softening during the day, we’ve been seeing fun spring‑corn–like conditions that have made the groomers an absolute blast. Our grooming team has been out in full force, taking advantage of the cooler nights to increase surface prep and keep runs smooth, consistent, and ready for you each morning.
We were also thrilled to support the Stevens Pass Alpine Club host a U14 race camp followed by the SPAC Freeride team hosting Jim Jack’s Cowboy Up competition. It’s always awesome to see that level of stoke and talent on the mountain.
Despite this unusual February weather pattern, the snowpack continues to hold up impressively well. Looking ahead to next week, we’re planning to maintain our current operational footprint, which means Mill Valley will remain closed for now as we work to preserve as much open terrain as possible across the mountain.
The forecast is looking favorable with a few inches of snow expected tomorrow and temps staying below freezing—both of which will help the snowpack and keep conditions enjoyable. The vibe around the mountain has been great, with everyone adapting and making the most of what winter is giving us.
See you on the mountain,
John Meriwether
